Ceramic + Sari Silk Heirloom Ornament

Created with three elements — handtorn cream sari silk ribbons, a dual-toned ceramic piece with a white glaze, and a small wooden bead. Completed with a blush colored ribbon to hang on your tree. Ornaments will be wrapped with beauty and care, tied with twine. These ornaments are unique in that they can also be displayed year-round on a gallery wall or small space!
The 2023 ornament collection was made in collaboration with my incredible Kilnfolk mentor, Krista Coons. Krista so graciously created these beautiful two-toned ceramic pieces for me, reviving my energy to reimagine a new style of ornament.
This is a limited edition of 24 ornaments, and each one varies slightly due to the handmade nature. Examples - the glaze on the ceramic element might be on the left or the right side, and sari silk varies in texture and coloration. Though each ornament is similar, each is truly unique.
This recycled sari silk ribbon is fair trade, ethically sourced from India, and hand dyed in small batches.
