"Secret Juniper" Small Weaving
There must be a story to tell about a band of explorers hiking across the mighty desert sandstone. With only the lightest drawn map to guide them, seeking the secret juniper tree — twisting and rooting into the rock. The hidden fox knows where the trees are, so he quietly follows the explorers as the desert sky grows wild.
Featuring a sage + forest green, sky blue, gold and cream color story.
This woven wall hanging was made with art yarn, sari silk, Belgian wool roving, soft cotton cord, and alpaca blend yarn. The wood is from a fallen tree in my sister’s yard. Woven goods will be wrapped neatly and tied with twine.
This is considered a small wall hanging, ideal for nestling among other pieces of artwork on a gallery wall (or on a narrower wall space).
MEASUREMENT INFORMATION:
8” wide x 19” long — the width and length of the woven body and fringe.
11” wide x 24” long — the width of the wood, and the length of where the nail will be to the farthest tip of fringe.
