"Wild Skies" Small Weaving
There must be a story to tell about a band of explorers hiking across the mighty desert sandstone. With only the lightest drawn map to guide them, seeking the secret juniper tree — twisting and rooting into the rock. The hidden fox knows where the trees are, so he quietly follows the explorers as the desert sky grows wild.
Featuring a sky blue + dark grey color story, with touches of moody blue-white cloud inspired texture.
This woven wall hanging was made with art yarn, sari silk, Belgian wool roving, soft cotton cord, and alpaca blend yarn. The wood is from a fallen tree in my sister’s yard. Woven goods will be wrapped neatly and tied with twine.
This is considered a small wall hanging, ideal for nestling among other pieces of artwork on a gallery wall (or on a narrower wall space).
MEASUREMENT INFORMATION:
8” wide x 20” long — the width and length of the woven body and fringe.
9” wide x 23” long — the width of the wood, and the length of where the nail will be to the farthest tip of fringe.
